Author Guidelines

  1. The Editorial Board accepts for publication scientific articles, reviews, commentaries and reports from scientific conferences written in English.
  2. The submitted materials should include: name and surname of the author (authors), degree or academic (professional) title, e-mail address, affiliation, ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) number and telephone number.
  3. The author is obliged to declare that the article has not been published before and to accept the publication rules (scan sent by the OJS system)
  4. The author submits a declaration on the percentage contribution of each of the authors to the publication (scan sent by the OJS system)
  5. The author should distinguish in the main text with headings: introduction (taking into account the state of research, research methods, purpose of the work), research results (with an indication of their importance for the scientific discipline) and conclusion (conclusions).
  6. The main text should be edited in Microsoft Word, using the Times New Roman font (size 12), line 1.5 in line with the page numbering. Footnotes should be written in Times New Roman (size 10), single line spacing.
  7. The main text should contain references to footnotes.
  8. The footnote should indicate the initial of the first name and surname of each author of the cited work (the abbreviation et alii should not be used), its title, place and date of publication and pages (the term passim should not be used), e.g.:

  9. When citing court decisions, the type, date of issue, reference number and publisher (if published) should be provided in a footnote, e.g.:
    1. Wyrok Naczelnego Sądu Administracyjnego z dnia 16 września 2008 r., signature II OSK 821/08, ONSAiWSA 2009/6/116.
  10. Legal acts should be cited with the footnote of their title, date of issue, place of publication and editorial unit, e.g.:Konstytucja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej z dnia 2 kwietnia 1997 r. (Dziennik Ustaw No. 78, item 483 and its subsequent amendments), art. 2.
  11. The submitted texts should be accompanied by a bibliography, an abstract in English (minimum 150 words), as well as 3-6 keywords in English (words can not be repeated with the title of the article).
  12. The bibliography should include the sources, case law and literature arranged in alphabetical order, e.g.:
    1. Chojnicka K., Polska jako przedmurze i pogranicze. Perspektywa rosyjska, [in:] Pogranicza w historii prawa i myśli polityczno-prawnej, ed. D. Szpoper, P. Dąbrowski, Gdańsk – Olsztyn.
    2. Kutrzeba S., Historia ustroju Polski w zarysie, vol. 2: Litwa, Lwów 1914.
  13. Legal acts in the bibliography should be listed alphabetically within a given category of legal sources (according to the hierarchy).
    1. Konstytucja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej z dnia 2 kwietnia 1997 r. (Dziennik Ustaw No. 78, item 483 and its subsequent amendments).
    2. Rozporządzenie Ministra Sprawiedliwości z dnia 25 marca 2010 r. Regulamin wewnętrznego urzędowania powszechnych jednostek organizacyjnych prokuratury (Dziennik Ustaw No. 49, item 296 and its subsequent amendments).
  14. The length of the main text with footnotes may not be less than half of the publishing sheet (20,000 characters including footnotes and spaces, without bibliography and abstract) and should not exceed the publisher's sheet (40,000 characters including footnotes and spaces, without bibliography and abstracts).
  15. Manuscripts should be sent by registering and logging in.
  16. The editorial staff does not accept materials that have already been published in the same language.
  17. The submitted papers will be subject to a "blind review" (authors and reviewers do not know their identity).
  18. Publication is free.
  19. The editorial staff reserves the right to reject any text that does not meet the formal requirements.
